LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVES -
CAROLE & DAVID LEARY, OUR CHILDREN ARE RYAN, SHANNON AND
KRISTEN. WE CURRENTLY RESIDE IN SUBURBAN PHILADELPHIA.
In June of 2003 we finally made the
decision to purchase a house in the Myrtle Beach area, after having
owned a rental property by the beach for the past eight years.
Initially we decided on a Centex home in Barefoot Landing, and just as
we were ready to sign the papers for that house we were made aware of a
brand
new development that Centex was building in Carolina Forest. After
obtaining the preliminay information, Carole and I flew down to Myrtle
Beach on July 1, 2003, and proceeded to look at the area being
developed. Well, there wasn't much there except for some roads that had
been roughed out, and fortunately the salesperson had a four wheel
drive to get us around the area. You can see some of the pictures that
I took that day in the Pre-construction page.
We settled on a lot in the "Willows" neighborhood, and picked the
"Laurens" home style. One of the selling points for us was the decision
by Centex to mandate the minimum home size in the "Willows" to be 1800
square feet.
Feel free to browse through the pages and pictures of our new Myrtle
Beach home, from the time we initially saw the lot until the present
day. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us by email.
We will be updating this website as time goes on, including
the good, the not-so-good, and other items of interest.
